ULB Test Set

The Dukane 42A12/1 is a self-contained, handheld functional tester designed primarily for testing underwater acoustic beacons. It is a battery operated heterodyne type receiver tunable over the ultrasonic frequency range of 30 to 45 kHz. Utilizing the internal microphone and loud speaker, the test set can perform an operational test on a beacon without removing the beacon from its mount on the aircraft.
