Ultima-S combines the latest generation of lithium battery technology and a smart design, which enables the unit to comply with the latest FAA / EASA lithium battery requirements (DO-227A & (E)TSO-142b). The unit can be manually activated by the crew members through the ELT’s switch and is also automatically activated immersed in water. The beacon’s location is determined through its embedded GNSS receiver, using both GPS and Galileo satellite constellations.
This Ultima-S ELT (EDMO# S1863501-03) does not include the return link service (RLS) functionality.
Faster signal detection and robust position acquisition thanks to its embedded GNSS receiver, using both GPS and Galileo satellite constellations
The Ultima-S ELT has been selected by Airbus & Boeing Manufacturers to equip their new aircraft programs on BFE basis.
The Ultima-S ELT has been installed by multiple airlines to retrofit their whole fleet with the latest generation of ELTs.
